Pro Bono

Our commitment to improving the community by providing pro bono legal services represents a guiding principle at Liberson & Wolford. To date, our efforts have focused on preserving the rights of disabled tenants confronting disputes with their landlords. In this regard, we regularly accept cases through the Volunteer Legal Services Program of the San Francisco Bar Association, the Eviction Defense Collaborative, the San Francisco Tenants Union, the San Francisco Human Rights Commission, Pets are Wonderful Support (PAWS), and the AIDS Legal Referral Panel.

Based upon our dedication to these organizations, we have received numerous awards. Two of these include being named recipients of the State Bar of California’s President’s Pro Bono Award (small firm category) in 2006, and the San Francisco Bar Association’s Housing Rights Award in 2005. Both of these awards were presented by Chief Justice Ronald George of the California Supreme Court.
